The History behind my Hobby

The Beginning:
I started with Seagull-finch in 1973. Our daugther had a couple of Weaver-finchs in the drawing-room, but they made a mess, and that was the beginning to my Hobby. with a little Birdhouse and Aviary in the Garden.
The Year after I join Holbaek Bird Council, and began to show my birds, which in the meantime had been increased with Ricebirds, Gouldian Finchs and Chestnut-Breastet Manniken.

Birds:
Up to today my Birdhouse has been increased several times, and the aviaries have been covered with roof, so they can make protection against the weather.
Now I have circa 200 birds of different Australian Parakeets and Mannikins.
I have Chinese Quails at the bottum of the Aviaries.

Bird Councils:
I still am a member of
Holbaek Bird Council and now also a  member of  the Danish Bird Council, which is the main organization for Bird Councils in Denmark.

Show:
I have, as I told, been showing my Birds since 1974, and I have got a good deal of rewards through the Years.
To show ones Birds give a fine contact to other people with Birds and it tells me whether  my breedingprogram has been a success or not !

Breeding:
In particular it is
the Gouldian Finch, who has my big interest as regards breed, but  my other Birds give me of course great pleasure too.
